Aston Villa v Fulham | Tuesday 25th April 2023 | 7.45pm | Villa Park | #AVLFUL

The opposition

  • The form of Aston Villa since their trip to Craven Cottage has been nothing short of extraordinary. After winning their next match 4-0 against Brentford under caretaker Aaron Danks, new boss Unai Emery has led them to 39 points from a possible 57.
  • They suffered a blip in February with three defeats on the bounce, but go into Tuesday’s fixture well and truly back in the groove, winning seven and drawing two of their previous nine outings.
  • The form of Ollie Watkins has been pivotal to Villa’s charge towards a European place, with the striker finding the net in 10 of his last 13 games.

Emery will make a late call on the involvement of Emi Martinez. Matty Cash, Boubacar Kamara, Philippe Coutinho and Leon Bailey are all out.

Fulham team news

Marco Silva has no new injury news to report. Dan James is back having been ineligible against Leeds United, while Aleksandar Mitrović is halfway through his ban.

Tickets

Fans can buy tickets in person or over the phone (0203 871 0810) from the Fulham Ticket Office up until midday on Tuesday. No tickets will be available to purchase at Villa Park on the night.

Weather

A dry evening is forecast, with temperatures around nine degrees at kick-off.
