Fulham FC Foundation are excited to introduce our newly developed EmpowHer programme .

The EmpowHer programme will support the holistic development of female players in our local communities, whilst providing opportunities to inspire and empower.

EmpowHer is for female footballers aged 15 -18 years who would like to combine a weekly training session with opportunities to complete formal qualifications, take part in educational workshops and receive mentoring support.

The programme will also provide increased knowledge and understanding on the female pathway at Fulham FC and Fulham FC Foundation, FFC Women’s Under-18 programme, external opportunities and exit routes into careers in football.

Launching in September 2023, this programme will run on Wednesday evenings during term time throughout the academic school year at Fulham FC's Training Ground in Motspur Park.

Female Foundation participants

EmpowHer aims to inspire and provide female players with enhanced confidence and self esteem, whilst providing opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills across physical and mental wellbeing in addition to football and career pathways.

“I am delighted that the EmpowHer programme will be part of our female pathway provision at Fulham FC Foundation, launching in September. This programme will allow female players the opportunity to train once a week, while also gaining vital skills and knowledge around football pathways, mental wellbeing, and careers in football. As part of Fulham FC Foundation’s 2022-25 strategy, we want to be able to provide more opportunities for females to feel inspired and engaged in our programmes, whilst creating a sense of belonging and connectivity to both the Foundation and Club, and we believe that this programme can bring the two together.” - Sam Hadley, Football Development Manager, Fulham FC Foundation

‘’We are excited to grow our partnership work with our Fulham FC Foundation and their new EmpowHer programme which will provide a great platform for young women to enhance their development in a variation of life skills, using football as the learning vehicle, alongside playing opportunities. We have positively gained through pathway openings from the current girls Foundation programmes, such as the Girls Development Centre, which has allowed players to experience our Women’s U18s environment through engagement, trials, and recruitment. Fulham FC Women U18s really look forward to further collaboration with the Foundation and candidates of the EmpowHer programme to continue the progress being made at the club for girls and women both on and off the pitch.’’ - Jodie Williams, Women’s Lead Pathway Coach, Fulham Football Club

This programme will launch the first cohort in September 2023 and will continue until July 2024. If you are interested in participating in EmpowHer please register below.
