Fulham v West Ham United | Sunday 10th December | 2pm | Craven Cottage | #FULWHU

The opposition

  • West Ham arrive at Craven Cottage in fantastic form, having taken 10 points from their previous four Premier League outings, most recently coming from behind to win at Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday.
  • It’s been a necessary upturn in form, after they’d previously taken just one point from a possible 12, and they now sit ninth in the standings, though they are five clear of Chelsea in 10th.
  • The Hammers have played a lot of football over the last couple of years, and that is the case once again in 2023/24, with a Carabao Cup Quarter-Final to look forward to, in addition to the Europa League knock-outs.

Player insight

Alex Iwobi was delighted to see Raúl Jiménez join him in scoring a brace at the Cottage in midweek.

“We all see in training, he works so hard, he’s just been unfortunate not to get the goals that he wants,” he told FFCtv. “It will do him the world of good, and help his confidence.

“He’s someone who works so hard and definitely deserved the goals and the credit that he got in that game.”

Matchday programme

As Craven Cottage prepares to host its second Premier League match in four days on Sunday, Harry Wilson talks to the matchday programme about Fulham’s confidence playing on their home turf.

“We know when we’re on our game – as we showed against Wolves recently – that we are capable of beating anyone who comes to the Cottage,” said Wilson.

The Welshman spoke about the challenge he is expecting from the Hammers on Sunday when they visit SW6.

“We know that with the quality they’ve got in their team, especially at the front end of the pitch, we have to stay switched on for the whole game because they’ve got goals all across their front line. I played with Jarrod Bowen at Hull so I know the quality he’s got and I think over the last year or two he has really taken his game to the next level, so we need to make sure, if we take the lead, that we remain switched on because they can hurt us at any point in the game.”

Elsewhere in the programme, Roger Hillier’s latest ‘On The International Stage’ article centres around the career of former White Len Oliver, who won his one and only England cap for a match away to Belgium in 1929. We chat to former Fulham and West Ham United defender Tony Gale, while Antonee Robinson is the latest First Teamer to choose his fantasy five-a-side team.

Priced at £4, you can pick up a copy of the programme on the day or online.
