Everton v Fulham | Tuesday 19th December | 7.45pm | Goodison Park | #EVEFUL

The opposition

  • Everton have impressed in the Carabao Cup this season, following up victory over Doncaster Rovers by dispatching two Premier League sides in Aston Villa and Burnley.
  • They’ve turned a corner with their league form, too, winning five of their last six matches to move comfortably clear of the relegation zone.
  • The 10-point deduction given to the Toffees appeared to galvanise the side, with the likes of Newcastle United and Chelsea leaving Goodison Park empty handed after the punishment was handed down.

Player insight

A win over Everton would put Fulham into their first ever League Cup Semi-Final, something that Tom Cairney views as a significant motivation.

“It’s huge,” he told FFCtv. “It’s a massive game, big game, I’m excited about it. They’re in great form at the minute, they’re a very good side, so it’s going to be a hard, hard cup tie, but I’m sure it will be a good one and hopefully we can get the away win and move on into the Semis.”

Level at 90

If the score is level after 90 minutes, we go straight to penalties.
