Inspiring the next generation of FFCW stars!
On the 28th November 2022, an open session was held at our girls-only Kingston Skills Club, for female footballers aged three to 12 to experience our fun, engaging Skills Club environment for the first time.
A large portion of the 54 young female footballers in attendance have now signed on to regular activity within the Fulham Football Club Foundation, held every Saturday during term time.
These future stars could very well follow in the footsteps of FFCW heroes Lilly Lambird and Mary Southgate to represent Fulham at Craven Cottage one day.
Our Saturday Skills Club programme is designed to help footballers aged three to 12 experience the beautiful game for the first time and help develop their skills, such as football techniques, social connections and mental well-being.
As part of this programme, we are proud to be running our girls-only session in Kingston aligning with Fulham FC Foundation's strategic pillar to 'develop and promote opportunities for underrepresented groups'.
Fulham FC Foundation is committed to achieving a target of women and girls across all programme forming 30% of total participants in the 2022/23 season.
