Last week, Fulham FC Foundation’s second Inclusive Schools League fixture of the 2022/23 season took place at Fulham’s Training Ground in Motspur Park.
Across two days, Fulham hosted a total of 13 local schools who made up 28 teams; a total of 280 young footballers with disabilities or special educational needs who were able to play competitive football at a world class facility.
Teams are split into three groups, Key Stage 3 (years 7-9) Mixed, Key Stage 4 (years 10/11) Mixed, and Key Stage 3&4 Girls Only, with two trophies on offer - the standard League title, as well as a ‘Respect League Title.’
Respect and displaying positive behaviours are always something that Fulham FC Foundation are keen to embed into the Inclusive Schools League, and in this round of fixture a special mention must go to Sunnydown School; for their example of positive behaviours, being polite and respectful which was shown by the school picking up cones at the end of the day and all individually saying thank you on the way out!
