João Palhinha has been voted Fulham’s Player of the Season for 2022/23.
He led the ballot from the off, claiming more votes than anyone else in the first phase, and then comfortably seeing off his competition in the final five.
More than half (58.6%) of Whites supporters who got involved voted for João. And while there was also a lot of love for Bernd Leno, he was some way off his teammate with 18.3% of the vote.
The evergreen Tim Ream completed the top three, with 12.1%.
“To all of the Fulham family, I want to say thank you for the Player of the Season award,” João said. “I feel really glad to receive this award.
“I think it’s a little bit unfair because everyone at Fulham could have received this award this season.
“I know it was a tough choice to choose just one player, so if I didn’t have my teammates behind me to help me to improve every day, it would have been impossible to achieve this.”
