Saša Lukić came off the bench to set up the clinching goal in Serbia’s 2-0 win in Montenegro on Monday night.

Serbia had struggled to break down their hosts throughout the encounter, but took the lead through Dusan Vlahovic’s swept finish in the 78th minute.

Lukić was introduced moments later, and played a decisive role in the final minute of stoppage time, leading a counter after Montenegro had pressed for an equaliser before squaring for Vlahovic to secure the points.

Aleksandar Mitrović played 85 minutes of the contest, as Serbia made it two wins from two to sit at the top of Group G in European Championship qualifying.

In Orlando, Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson helped the United States secure top spot in their CONCACAF Nations League group with a 1-0 win over El Salvador.

A draw would have actually been sufficient to see the USMNT end the campaign atop the standings, but Ricardo Pepi’s cute finish in the second half ensured a winning end to this stage of the competition.

That came after Ream had seen a volley blocked from a corner which was heading in, with both he and his Fulham teammate Robinson playing 90 minutes.

The United States will now compete at the Nations League Finals in Las Vegas in June.
