This season, Fulham FC Foundation’s DS Badgers have decided to extend the invite to other local Down’s Syndrome football teams to join our Fulham Badgers at our Training Ground in Motspur Park.
As the UK’s first Down’s Syndrome football team, Fulham Badgers are always looking to introduce new ways for our players to make new friends and play friendly football games against other groups of players, particularly those with Down’s Syndrome.

Early in September, Fulham invited Newham Ability FC to Motspur Park where the group joined in to our usual Fulham Badgers training session on the Friday evening; taking part in some drills and skills together, before playing some mini matches.
At the end of the session, all the players were awarded with a memento of their evening.

“Going over to Fulham Badgers’ session was a fantastic experience for Newham Ability FC. Training and playing with different people made their day. We are looking forward to the next session!” - Paul Archer, Newham Ability FC Coach
“We had a great evening with the Newham Ability players joining us. We had a chance to play some mini matches and put the skills they had learnt together into practice, and there were some great celebrations. And to see them all celebrating together regardless of what team they were playing for made it all the more worthwhile!” - Katy Shephard, DisAbility Development Manager, Fulham FC Foundation

Fulham Badgers train weekly during term time at Motspur Park.
Sessions are open to all players with Down’s Syndrome from age 5 to adults, with sessions suitable for anyone from first time footballers to someone with more experience looking to play in a safe, inclusive environment and meet new friends.
