We are delighted to confirm that Fulham Football Club has been awarded the London Living Wage Employer accreditation.

The London Living Wage is a voluntary code, under which employers agree to pay workers a minimum hourly wage that is independently assessed and designed to ensure that people receive a fair income.

Since 2011, the Living Wage movement has delivered pay rises to over 460,000 people and put £3billion extra into the pockets of workers. As a member of the scheme, Fulham will ensure that all staff engaged by it – whether directly or on its behalf by contractors – are paid at least the London Living Wage.

Caron Streeter, People Manager at Fulham Football Club, said: “We are very pleased to have received notice of Fulham Football Club’s accreditation as a London Living Wage employer.  We are proud to be a voluntary member of such an important organisation and we are committed to paying fair minimum wages for our valued workers.”

Katherine Chapman, Director at the Living Wage Foundation, said: “We’re delighted that Fulham Football Club has joined the movement of over 14,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on. Fulham Football Club are one of the businesses that recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay."

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “It’s fantastic that Fulham FC have officially become a Living Wage employer, playing their part in making London a Living Wage City.

“I have always championed the London Living Wage and am extremely proud that, since I became Mayor, the number of accredited employers has increased six-fold. It is only right that more employers are committing to paying their staff a fair and decent wage and I am determined to keep working to reduce income inequality – continuing to build a fairer, more prosperous London for everyone.”
