Rodrigo Muniz is set for a spell on the sidelines after injuring his knee against Manchester United last weekend.
The striker was visibly distressed after his full Premier League debut came to a premature end, but the timing of the impending international break hopefully means he won’t miss too many fixtures.
“It’s not really, really serious, but it’s going to prevent him from being involved in the next few games,” Marco Silva revealed.
“Injuring the knee, you have to be careful. We assessed him and the feedback that I got from the medical staff is that he’s going to be a few games out.
“Of course, the international break is going to help us. Probably after the international break, maybe one or two weeks and he's going to be back.
“It's difficult to give a really clear timeline to you about his situation, but let's talk about three or four weeks for him to be back, let's hope.”

There was optimism that at least one of Tosin, Kenny Tete or Adama Traoré could be in the matchday squad for the meeting with United. That did not transpire, but Silva will make a decision on each of the trio ahead of Sunday’s trip to Aston Villa.
“We have another session [on Saturday] and I'm going to decide,” he explained. “If you ask me if they are ready for 90 minutes, no, but I can decide for them to be involved in the squad list at least, to start to be part of it.
“I believe after the international break, all three are going to be ready to start. The good thing is that they are fully involved with the team in the sessions.
“It’s been a long break for all of them, the situation is that they need more time to be ready for the 90, if that’s what I decide.
“Another player that is going to need more time is Issa Diop.”
