Ipswich Town v Fulham | Wednesday 1st November | 7.45pm | Portman Road | #IPSFUL

The opposition

  • Kieran McKenna’s first full season in charge at Portman Road could not have gone much better, with the club finishing second in League One last term, accruing 98 points and boasting the best attack (101 scored) and defence (35 conceded) in the division.
  • It’s form that they’ve maintained in the Championship, with a 4-3 defeat by Leeds United and 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town the only points they’ve dropped, meaning they currently sit second in the standings, nine points clear of third place Leeds, having played a game less.
  • Town find themselves in Round Four of the Carabao Cup courtesy of a 2-0 win over Bristol Rovers, a penalty shoot-out victory against Reading, and a thrilling 3-2 with Wolves, in which they recovered from a two-goal deficit to progress.
