On Monday 23rd October, Fulham staff will walk from Craven Cottage to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, all in the name of raising awareness around Alzheimer’s.

More than 40 colleagues – across a variety of departments within the Club – will partake in the 12½ mile trek from South-West to North London, to raise funds for the Foundation’s Fulham Memories programme, which provides support to those suffering from dementia.

Today, 21st September, marks World Alzheimer’s Day, which aims to raise awareness around, educate, encourage support of, and demystify dementia.

Rebecca Todd, Associate General Counsel at Fulham, organised the walk.

"A diagnosis with Alzheimer’s can be challenging, life changing and stressful," Rebecca said. "It is amazing to see that so many people want to take part in such a long walk. It really shows the power of the football community, and that no-one is alone in this! And hopefully three points will be waiting for Fulham at the end of the walk!"

Currently, there are almost 50 million people worldwide who are living with dementia, while one in three people born in the UK today will develop the disease at some point in their lifetime.

It's time for change.
