West Ham United v Fulham | Sunday 14th April | 2pm | London Stadium | #WHUFUL

The opposition

  • Another very impressive season for West Ham currently has them sitting seventh in the table, well placed for what would be a fourth successive European campaign next year.
  • Our match on Sunday is sandwiched between their two Europa League Quarter-Final ties, against arguably the best team in Europe right now. They put in a resolute display away to Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday, but two late goals by Xabi Alonso’s side have given them a mountain to climb in the second leg next week.
  • Jarrod Bowen’s 19 goals across all competitions have been a major factor in their success, but the forward missed the Leverkusen trip through injury and will likely be absent once again at the weekend.

In addition to Bowen, Alphonse Areola, Kalvin Phillips and Dino Mavropanos are doubts, though Edson Alvarez returns after missing that game through a European suspension.

Fulham team news

Marco Silva revealed in his press conference that Armando Broja picked up a knock on Thursday, but that the striker is expected to recover in time for the weekend.

Tickets

This match has sold out, meaning there will be more than 3,000 Fulham fans in attendance.

Weather

Dry with sunny intervals, and temperatures around 14 degrees.

Player insight

While Timothy Castagne is not expecting a repeat of the 5-0 from December, he is demanding an improved performance from his side, following a run of three games without a win.

“It will be a lot more difficult [away from home], they will be expecting us and they will want revenge as well, so it’s going to be tough, but it would be a great place to do it, it’s a great stadium, so it would be good to win there.

“We will have to start very strong and not make the same mistakes we did last few games, especially the last away games when we were not at our best, so we need to change that.”
