Fulham’s squad numbers for the 2024/25 season have now been submitted to the Premier League.

There are a number of changes for the upcoming campaign, with a bunch of players adopting shirts that hold special meaning to them.

Marek Rodák’s departure has freed up the 1 jersey for Bernd Leno, one he’s worn at previous clubs Bayer Leverkusen and Arsenal.

Number 9 was vacant for the majority of last season, and Rodrigo Muniz’s form from February onwards made him a natural candidate for the prestigious shirt. It’s something that meant a lot to the young striker, who even has a RM9 tattoo on his arm to go with it.

Despite wearing 5 at Villarreal – which is vacant here – Jorge Cuenca has adopted 15, the shirt he wore during the season he established himself in La Liga while on loan with Getafe.

Alex Iwobi started 2023/24 with 17 on his back while still with Everton, but had to take 22 when joining Fulham.

But with Leno moving down to 1, the winger has nabbed his preferred digits, a number he wore with Arsenal and one that also ties into his community initiative, Project 17.

Saša Lukić has moved from 28 to 20, which is the number he wore at Partizan Belgrade when making his professional debut, and also during a loan spell with Levante.

Josh King and Jay Stansfield have been given lower numbers, taking 24 and 28, respectively, while another Academy product has gone down the nostalgic route.

Ryan Sessegnon made his senior breakthrough with 30 on his back, scoring seven goals and laying on five assists at the age of just 16 in the 2016/17 campaign, and he’s reverted back to that squad number following his return to the Club.

It’s a similar tactic employed by Emile Smith Rowe, who has selected the 32 jersey to mirror the shirt he wore when making his Premier League debut for Arsenal back in December 2019.
