Celebrating Ability: Fulham FC Foundation’s DisAbility Programmes

At Fulham FC Foundation, the DisAbility programme focuses on ability — what participants can do, rather than limitations. This ethos is reflected in every session, where players are encouraged to grow, learn, and excel at their own pace in an inclusive and supportive environment.

The DisAbility programme offers a variety of specialised activities tailored to meet the needs of different groups:

  • Active Autism Clubs: These clubs cater to juniors with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), offering football sessions in Kingston and Lambeth. Players develop essential skills, build confidence, and enjoy social interaction in a structured and understanding setting.
  • Fulham Badgers: As London’s first professional football club to launch a Down’s syndrome football team in 2005, Fulham FC continues to lead in this space. Fulham Badgers sessions are available for Mini Badgers (ages 5-12) and adult players, featuring football at Motspur Park and tennis at Roehampton.
  • Pan DisAbility Football: Open to juniors and adults, these sessions accommodate participants with physical, learning, or sensory disabilities.
  • Blind and Partially Sighted Football: These sessions provide a safe and adaptive environment for individuals who are blind or have visual impairments, fostering skill development and team spirit.
  • Frame Football: Designed for young players who use mobility aids, Frame Football offers an innovative way to enjoy the game while enhancing coordination and confidence.
  • Pan DisAbility Soccer Schools: Delivered during school holidays, these camps provide an enriching experience for participants across South-West London.
  • Para Talent Hub: In partnership with The FA, the Para Talent Hub identifies and nurtures players aged 7 to 16 with ambitions to represent England. This elite pathway supports individuals with Cerebral Palsy, visual impairments, or hearing impairments.
  • DisAbility Schools: Fulham FC Foundation also works within educational settings, delivering adapted physical education lessons and extra-curricular activities in special educational schools and mainstream SEND resource bases.

Through these initiatives, participants improve their physical and mental well-being, develop footballing skills, and build lasting friendships.
