Fulham Under-21s will be looking to extend their winning run to six games when Hertha BSC visit Motspur Park in the Premier League International Cup on Tuesday evening, 7pm kick-off.

Our Young Whites’ form

Since a hard lesson in the 7-1 defeat to a strong Birmingham City outfit at the end of October, Hayden Mullins’ side have recorded five straight victories.

With 13 goals scored in those five matches, our youngsters have been free-flowing, with three-goal hauls against West Ham United, Sparta Praha and Woking.

But what’s most impressive has been the lads’ character and resilience during this spell. We were 1-0 down at half-time in our last PL2 fixture against Leeds United, but a Callum Osmand-inspired turnaround saw us win the game 2-1.

There was another comeback in our National League Cup outing at Woking last week, as our Young Whites came from 2-1 down to beat the Cardinals 3-2, with an 88th minute winner from Osmand.

There have been plenty of star performers among the side and our front three in particular have really hit their groove. 10 of our last 13 goals have been scored by either Aaron Loupalo-Bi, Terrell Works or Osmand.

Loupalo-Bi has been just as much of a creator as he has a goalscorer with three goals and three assists in his last five games, while Works has four goal contributions in that time. Osmand – who has received a PL2 Player of the Month nomination for his performances in November – has five goals and two assists since November 1st.

The state of play

Not only would a victory against Hertha extend the winning streak, but it would also be a significant step towards qualifying from our International Cup group.

The current standings in Fulham U21s' Premier League International Cup group

Three points on Tuesday night would see us jump to top spot in the group with one game to play against FC Nordsjælland, who are the current leaders in the eight-team group.

Hertha BSC are tied on four points with our Young Whites and a win for Rejhan Hasanovic’s side would see them go top. Hertha began their campaign with a 1-1 draw at Manchester United before following it up with a thrilling 4-3 victory against Liverpool.

Only the top two teams from each group qualify for the knockout stages, but our Young Whites are well placed in our quest for a place in the Quarter-Finals, with most teams in Group C having already played either three or four matches.
