Fulham Under-18s slipped to a narrow defeat at West Bromwich Albion this Saturday lunchtime.
Tom Wingate netted his first goal for the Club at this level, but it proved to be little more than a consolation.
The Young Whites actually started very well, with Aaron Loupalo-Bi making a great chance for himself when he chopped onto his left foot 15 yards from goal, but the striker was unfortunate to see his shot hit the bar on its way over.
Soon after that, the hosts went in front when Eseosa Sule took advantage of a mistake at the back before popping into an empty net.
The Baggies doubled their lead soon after from a corner through Divine Onyemachi, though on another day Fulham may have been awarded a free-kick for a foul on goalkeeper Dino Kaiser.
Things could have been worse when West Brom had the ball in the net from another corner, but this time the referee ruled in our favour and disallowed the goal for a foul.
Fulham had the opportunity to half the deficit when Farhaan Ali Wahid won a penalty, but Tom Olyott saw his spot-kick well saved by Louis Brady.
We did get one back in stoppage time when substitute Wingate got off the mark for the 18s. It was a nice team move down the right hand side, culminating in Ali Wahid teeing up Wingate, but time was against us in our quest for an equaliser.
