Olly Sanderson scored his first Sutton United goal in their thrilling 4-3 win at Notts County on Tuesday evening.
The U’s were pegged back three times at Meadow Lane but ended up taking a deserved – and much needed – three points back to London thanks to a 77th minute penalty.
Sanderson hit their third goal of the night, volleying home beyond Fulham teammate Luca Ashby-Hammond, who was left exposed following a previously blocked shot.
The win for Sutton gives them hope in their battle against relegation from League Two, as they’re now just four points from safety, the same distance separating County from the Play-Off spots.
