With thanks to Opta, we take a look at the numbers behind our 2023/24 Premier League campaign.
We managed to equal last season’s tally of goals scored, as we found the back of the net 55 times in the Premier League.
This was in part down to our outstanding big chance conversion rate (49.3%), which was the second best in the division.
It’s been a real team effort, with 17 different players finding the back of the net throughout the season, our highest number in a Premier League campaign, but the man who scored most was Rodrigo Muniz, with March’s Premier League Player of the Month scoring nine goals in his first full English top flight campaign.
Coming alive inside the opposition’s penalty area, eight of Muniz’s goals were scored inside the 18-yard box, with five coming from within six yards of goal.

One of our most memorable goals of the campaign was Alex Iwobi’s dramatic winner at Manchester United, which at 96:06, is the latest ever winning goal scored at Old Trafford against the Red Devils in a Premier League fixture.
It was at the other end of the pitch where we were arguably even more impressive, keeping 10 clean sheets, a record only bettered by Champions Manchester City, Arsenal and Everton.
Bernd Leno more than played his part, with the goalkeeper one of just seven Premier League players to play every minute of action during the 2023/24 campaign.
Of course, those in front of Bernd helped maintain our impressive defensive numbers. Antonee Robinson, along with Bernd, was nominated for the Premier League Fan Team of the Season having topped statistics not just at Fulham, but across the division as a whole.

It’s well-documented that the left-back made more interceptions (80) than any other Premier League player, while he also won possession back for his team-mates more than any other defender (227).
Jedi’s defensive numbers didn’t stop him from producing in the final third though. No Fulham player completed more than his 37 dribbles, he created 33 chances for his team-mates, with six of those leading to assists.
Issa Diop put his body on the line plenty of times during the campaign, making a team-leading 19 blocks, while his 80 clearances was only bettered by Jedi.
Sitting just in front of the back four, João Palhinha led the league in tackles for a second consecutive season. His 152 tackles last term was the most of any Premier League player since N'Golo Kanté for Leicester in 2015/16.
The Portugal international won an incredible 259 duels, 67 more than the next highest Fulham player.

Making things tick in midfield was skipper Tom Cairney, who boasted the best passing accuracy in the Fulham squad with 90.3%. He made the third most passes (1,121) - and with 365 of them ending up in the final third, he was constantly looking for ways to unpick opposition defences.
A stat that will no doubt please Marco Silva is our record at defending set-pieces. We conceded just three times from corners last season, the joint lowest total in the division along with Manchester City.
For the second season in a row, Andreas Pereira recorded 10 contributions, with Harry Wilson and Muniz also making double digits for combined goals and assists. It’s the second season in a row where we’ve had three players reach 10 goal contributions, with Andreas, Willian and Aleksandar Mitrovic all making that total in 2022/23.
