Timothy Castagne and his Belgium teammates were on the wrong end of the shock result of Euro 2024 so far, as Slovakia beat The Red Devils 1-0 on Monday evening.
Ivan Schranz's early goal proved to be enough to seperate the two sides, although the game wasn't short of controversy in its latter stages.
Timothy was a regular during Belgium's unbeaten qualification campaign and was selected in the starting XI by Domenico Todesco. He played the full 90 minutes but couldn't help Belgium find an equalising goal after falling behind early.

Slovakia - who named Marek Rodák among their substitutes - went ahead as Schranz fired home after Koen Casteels had parried Juraj Kucka's effort into the Slavia Prague forward's path.
Belgium missed a number of chances to equalise - while they also had two goals disallowed. Romelu Lukaku was adjudged to be offside as he bundled in Amadou Onana's header across the box, before he had another goal disallowed with just minutes remaining as Lois Openda handled the ball in the build up.
Timothy and his colleagues will be hoping for a bit more luck when they face Romania in Cologne on Saturday evening.
