To celebrate International Women’s Day 2024, Fulham FC Foundation are proud to launch our EmpowHer Festival of Football.

Running from Saturday 2nd March until Wednesday 27th March, Fulham FC Foundation have a whole host of activities and events female young people and adults can get involved in, including open evenings, festivals, tournaments, guest speakers, workshops, matchdays and more.

Kicking off the Festival of Football this Saturday, Fulham are hosting a Girls Kicks fixture for young people aged 11-18 at Fulham FC’s Training Ground, and International Women’s Day themed sessions at our Skills Clubs across South West London.

Fulham FC Foundation are then holding an International Women’s Day panel event, in collaboration with The Baytree Centre, on Wednesday 6th March. This date also coincides with the start of our weekly ‘Women in Football’ series, running every Wednesday throughout March.

Later that week, there is a Let Girls Play girls primary school tournament taking place on Friday 8th March, EmpowHer Festivals on Saturday 9th March, and a Women’s Walking Football Tournament on March 10th – all held at Fulham FC’s Training Ground in Motspur Park.

Throughout the month, we will be delivering workshops and guest speaker events at secondary schools across our network.

These will see our Premier League Inspires Girls cohort at Raynes Park High School, Hollyfield School, Dunraven School and Ark Globe, taking part in team building activities and creating a collage of supportive messages to motivate others whilst hosting a Q&A guest panel of speakers.

On Thursday 14th March, we will be hosting an International Women’s Day themed Fulham Memories session, and on Wednesday 27th March our EmpowHer programme will be hosting an Open Evening for anyone interested in finding out more.

And of course, don’t forget, Fulham FC Women play Saltdean at 2.30pm on Sunday 10th March. Come down and support Fulham FC in action!

"It’s fantastic to see so many initiatives which will allow women and girls in our local community to come together to take part in activities and events to celebrate International Women’s Day across the month of March. We are also excited to work in collaboration with Fulham FC to deliver activities at Fulham FC Training Ground, whilst supporting Fulham FC Women First Team and Under-18s for their home league and cup fixtures. We hope through running these activities and events, that women and girls feel empowered and inspired to take part in further events with us in the future." - Sam Hadley, Female Football Development Manager, Fulham FC Foundation
