We need your help to tackle book poverty in our local community!

Fulham FC Foundation are working in partnership with The Children's Book Project to support the charity in gifting 350,000 surplus new and pre-loved books this year to children who have very few of their own.

We are asking fans to support the cause and to donate books at our upcoming home fixture against Tottenham on Saturday 16th March on Stevenage Road (Hammersmith End turnstiles).

Can't make the game? Between the 18th March - 24th March, fans will also be able to donate their books at Fulham FC's Training Ground in Motspur Park and at Craven Cottage!

Book poverty has a measurable impact on children’s social and emotional development, as well as their educational outcomes, and The Children’s Book Project’s core mission chimes with Fulham FC Foundation's wider, ongoing initiatives to support the local community.

Through this partnership, more children will have the chance to lose themselves in a book, to share stories with their wider family and to be inspired by the illustrations within. Books can make amazing things happen: vocabularies expand, empathy grows, imaginations are ignited and children learn.

World Book Day

“We are absolutely thrilled that with Fulham FC's support so many families will have the opportunity to learn about the joy that their children’s books can bring to another child and will be so easily able to donate them. Fulham FC has local connections, and we look forward to seeing the impact that donated books have within this community.” Liberty Venn, Children’s Book Project Founder and CEO

“I couldn’t think of a better way for us to celebrate World Book Day with our local community. This meaningful project will directly impact those in our local community who need support and give children the opportunity to pick up a book and be inspired!” Kayleigh Bowers, Primary Education Manager, Fulham FC Foundation
