Sheffield United v Fulham | Saturday 30th March | 3pm | Bramall Lane | #SHUFUL
The opposition
- Sheffield United’s return to the Premier League has not gone how they would have hoped, with their 28 games yielding just 14 points so far, with a goal difference of -50. Even Bramall Lane has not been a happy hunting ground for the Blades of late. Their last four fixtures on home soil have seen the opposition score at least five, with a 5-2 defeat by Brighton in the FA Cup followed up by 5-0 losses to both Aston Villa and Brighton, again, before Arsenal claimed a 6-0 win.
- With 30 points still to play for, hope remains, but Opta’s prediction algorithm believes there is a 98.4 per cent chance they will be competing in the Championship next season.
- They did claim a positive result in their last outing - some three weeks ago - though even that 2-2 draw away to AFC Bournemouth will have been tinged with frustration, having been two goals up going into the final quarter of an hour.

Sheff Utd team news
Defenders Max Lowe, Chris Basham, John Egan and Rhys Norrington-Davies are all out, but United hope to have Cameron Archer and Anis Ben Slimane back available. George Baldock limped off for Greece over the international period and will be touch and go.
Fulham team news
While some returning international players continue to be assessed, Marco Silva will hopefully have a fully fit squad to select from.

Player insight
Timothy Castagne will not be taking Sheffield United lightly, despite their position at the bottom of the table.
“It’s the Premier League, so there’s no easy games,” he told FFCtv. “We dropped points against Burnley as well, so we can’t do that here.
“We know it’s going to be tough, but we need to get the three points.”
