Matchday Recap: Millwall

Fulham Women played in their season finale on Sunday against Millwall at The Den. Looking to secure third place in the London and South East Regional Premier Division. 

The first half saw Fulham settle into the game; Sasha Adamson had an early attempt on goal, but the shot was blocked by a Millwall defender. 

Madi Parsonson tested the goalkeeper Chrissie Wiggins' ability when she fired in an effort in the 24th minute. 

Fulham came close to scoring in the closing minutes of the first half when Parsonson had another attempt on goal that was once again saved by the Millwall shot-stopper.  

Ellie Olds also almost put the Whites ahead, but her effort hit the crossbar. 

Olds continued to test the Lionesses defence in the second half, pulling a save out of Wiggins before again hitting the woodwork two minutes later.

And she was involved when the deadlock was eventually broken, drawing the opposition out to the left and providing the cross for Betty Barron-Clark to strike first time for her first goal for Fulham. 

Olds sent in another dangerous cross in the 73rd minute, but it was claimed by Wiggins. 

Ede Buchele also hit the post as the Whites searched for their second, which came in the last minute as Olds connected with Lilly Lambird's through ball and found the bottom right corner.
