Alex Iwobi was still beaming when he sat down with Premier League Productions on Tuesday afternoon.
Less than 24 hours on from the drama of the West London derby, Iwobi was still basking in the euphoria of Harry Wilson’s added time brace.
“It was crazy! Obviously going into stoppage time we’re thinking, ‘we need to equalise, we need to equalise.’
“But to equalise and then go and win it – we almost lost it as well, but Bernd made a huge save – and for King H to come on and get the two goals like he did, it was a great feeling.

“The stadium was just erupting. It’s hard to describe, but in the moment it’s one of the best feelings.
“It's a big lift because we feel like our performances recently deserved a lot more, in terms of getting points and results.
“And the way we did it, against Brentford, we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, a derby as well, to win it in the manner we did has defo given us a confidence boost going into another London derby against Palace.”
It had been a tough start to the campaign for Saturday’s opponents Crystal Palace, taking just three points from eight matches.

But they will hope the tide has turned recently, after a first win of the season over Tottenham Hotspur and a draw with Wolves in their last two outings.
“We know it’s not going to be easy,” Iwobi said. “Another derby, it’s never easy at their stadium.
“We know it’s always tough to go and play there, but we’re going to analyse, see their weaknesses. It’s not easy, but we’ll analyse and see what we can do.
“They’ve only had one win this season – hopefully it remains that way against us and we’ll get the result we want.”

The interview concluded with a change of pace, as attentions turned to Alex’s second single, What’s Luv?, which was released last week.
So, can we now refer to him as a rap star, as well as a footballer?
“That’s up to you! Me and my friends always say, ‘I’m human first,’ so I could be a footballer, I could be an artist, I could be a fashionista, I could be a builder for all you know. I’m human first, so whatever you want to call me, I’ll take it.
“It came about last summer. Me and the two other artists went to the studio and just thought, ‘let’s lay something down.’ The guy on the chorus, MBrown, is so talented, he’s been doing music for years, and he just came up with What’s Luv?
“And we thought, what is love? Everyone has a different definition of love, so it’s all about whatever you perceive love as.
“It’s literally a generic question. I see it in one way, you might see it in another way, and it just came together and we thought we’d call the track What’s Luv?”
What’s Luv is the second single from 17 – Alex’s alter-ego, in homage to his squad number – and he was asked by PLP if he had any plans for number three.
“That’s a very big question. I’ve got a lot of tracks, but it’s all about timing. I am focused on my football, so when the timing’s right I’ll release another one.”
