Fulham FC Foundation are proud to launch our Social Action Challenge for the 2024/25 academic year, referring to activities that young people undertake to have a positive impact on others, their community or the environment.
The Challenge has grown year on year since it was first launched in 2021, with last year being its biggest yet. A total of 22 groups entered the Challenge across three categories, meaning more than 150 young people took part to design projects to improve their local community.
Claudio Bardetti, Assistant Principal at Ark Globe Academy, said: "It was wonderful to see the event in full flow after many weeks of planning. The Inspires girls took great pride in delivering a well organised event that brought together 40 girls across Year 7, 8 and 9 to play football and meet some inspirational women. What a fantastic way to raise the aspirations of our female students."
This year's Challenge will be launching on Monday 14th October and will once again be open to any young people aged 5-18 interested in taking part. To enter the Challenge, you must complete and submit your entry form by Friday 20th December.
The 2024/25 Challenge will once again have three different categories, allowing as many young people as possible to take part:
- Primary School Category
- Secondary School Category
- Community Group Category
Once the entry deadline has passed, five projects in each category will be shortlisted and invited to our finals event in February. Here they will be given an opportunity to present their project to a panel of judges who will select the most impactful project to be our winners. Although there will only be one winning group, all five finalists will be awarded a £100 prize fund to deliver their projects.
Tina, a 2023/24 Challenge participant, said: "Taking part in the Challenge was an amazing experience. Being able to actually design a project, present on it and then deliver it was amazing and something I never thought I'd be able to do. It was scary to do but it's helped me learn so much by taking part and improved my confidence massively."
