Fulham FC Foundation are delighted to share the successful expansion of our activities at Fulham Cross Girls School (Munster Rd, London, SW6 6BP) just a few streets away from the iconic Craven Cottage!

The new location has enhanced the Foundation’s ability to deliver more opportunities for the young local residents of Hammersmith and Fulham, to join our range of football sessions across Tuesday evenings, Saturday morning and school holidays, catering for both girls and boys.

Launching in April 2024, we have had a positive influence on young lives in the Hammersmith & Fulham borough, engaging with 515 participants across our Girls Development Centre, Soccer Schools and Skills Club. By hosting activites at Fulham Cross Girls School, this has allowed the Foundation to positively grow our reach to further young people within the area.

“By expanding our football provision in Hammersmith & Fulham, this has given local young children more opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive within a safe, fun and inclusive environment. It’s incredible to see how these new experiences are helping them build confidence, discover new passions, and create lasting connections within our community.” - Emma Whiteford, Football Development Officer

September has seen over 100 children take to the multi-use-games-arena pitch at Fulham Cross Girls School across both Tuesday and Saturday Skills Club sessions alone. Since launching we have engaged over 600 hours with the local community through Skills Club.

Fulham Cross Girls School is now a key venue for our Saturday Skills Club after bidding farewell to Bishop's Park back in July. Skills Club is aimed at developing footballing ability, making new friends and increasing confidence across the young residents of Hammersmith & Fulham. Skills Club offers a safe and inclusive environment where children of all abilities can learn and enjoy playing football.

Open to girls and boys of all skill levels, Skills Club is designed to ensure that every participant feels welcome and has the opportunity to play football in a positive environment. The relocation to Fulham Cross Girls’ School offers even more space and better resources, providing an ideal environment for young players to flourish.

With the women and girls game growing significantly, we want to make positive steps in making football more accessible and appealing to inner city girls, encouraging greater participation by launching a new venue for Girls Development Centre.

Our Girls Development Centre is part of our Female Football Pathway. This session is ideal for girls who currently play for a grassroots (club football) or school team.

Sessions run weekly to support individuals to achieve their maximal potential across the FA's 4 corner model (physical, technical/tactical, psychological and social) and are delivered by FA and UEFA qualified coaches. We provide an engaging and inspiring environment where players take ownership of their learning which helps improve physical and mental wellbeing.

“When she first started she knew nobody and by the end of her first year she has made some excellent friends. Her confidence has improved and I’m sure will continue to grow. This course has really helped her to become a resilient girl. I’m proud of her and I would like to say a massive thank you to all the coaches.” – Susan, Girls Development Centre Parent.

As the new school term is in full swing, the local community can look forward to exciting new opportunities in sports and personal development, with Fulham FC Foundation driving positive change in the heart of the community.
