Olly Sanderson opened his account for Bradford City on Saturday, scoring in the Bantams’ 2-1 defeat at Grimsby Town.

The 20-year-old was on hand to prod the ball home after Grimsby goalkeeper Jordan Wright spilled Clarke Odour’s shot into the striker’s path.

Luke Harris and Birmingham City made it three league wins in a row with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic in League One.

The Wales youth international made his third consecutive start as Scott Wright’s stoppage-time goal saw Blues rise to third in the table.

In the National League, Callum McFarlane made an immediate impact on his Wealdstone debut, helping his new loan side earn a 1-1 draw at Solihull Moors.

With the Stones a goal down at the interval, McFarlane was introduced at the start of the second half and impressed as Matthew Taylor’s side claimed a point at last season’s Play-Off finalists.

There were also plenty of appearances off the bench for our young loanees as Imani Lanquedoc featured in FC Haka’s 1-1 draw with FC Lahti, Terry Ablade was an 81st minute substitute in Partick Thistle’s 3-0 thrashing of Queen’s Park, while Tom Olyott made his Walton & Hersham debut in a thrilling FA Cup tie at Hanworth Villa, which finished 3-3.
