Joachim Andersen and Saša Lukić faced off in the Nations League on Sunday evening, as Denmark claimed a 2-0 win against Serbia in Copenhagen.

It marked back-to-back clean sheets and victories for Andersen, with Denmark scoring two late goals to defeat nine-man Switzerland last week.

The game was also Saša’s second start in quick succession as he made his 50th appearance for Serbia in their goalless draw with European Champions Spain on Thursday.

Wales kicked off the Craig Bellamy era with a 0-0 draw against Turkey in Cardiff, with Harry Wilson featuring from the off – and he’ll be hoping for another start as Wales take on Montenegro on Monday evening.

Sander Berge got some minutes under his belt, coming on as a substitute in another goalless draw, this time for Norway at Kazakhstan.

There were high and lows for Timothy Castagne on Friday evening as the defender scored in the wrong net, but Belgium still opened their Nations League campaign with a 3-1 win against Israel.

Nigeria started their African Cup of Nations Qualifying campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win over Benin, with both Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi playing just over an hour for the Super Eagles.

At youth level, Adrion Pajaziti scored a brace as Albania Under-21s secured a 2-1 win over Switzerland. Pajaziti cancelled out Frank Surdez’s early goal as Albania moved to within three points of the top of their U21s Euros Qualifying group.

Josh King and Samuel Amissah both represented the Three Lions last week as England U18s played three games in France as part of the Lafarge Tournament.

The Young Lions finished second in the tournament, playing out score draws with Portugal (2-2), Switzerland (1-1) and France (1-1). King captained the side for the games against Portugal and France, while Amissah also started both of those fixtures.
