Defensive duo Devan Tanton and Harvey Araujo impressed for Chesterfield in the Spireites’ 2-1 win over Grimsby Town on Saturday.
Tanton has missed Chesterfield’s last three games with a minor injury but returned to the starting XI for the victory over the Mariners, while Araujo came off the bench in the 70th minute to help secure the three points.

Elsewhere in League Two, there was a first league start for Olly Sanderson as the striker helped Bradford City to a 2-1 victory against Carlisle United. Sanderson had scored in his previous two matches before this and was rewarded with a start against the Cumbrians.
In the National League, Callum McFarlane made his home debut for Wealdstone, coming on as a first-half substitute in a 2-0 defeat to York City.
It was defeat for Terry Ablade and Partick Thistle as Alloa Athletic ran out 3-1 winners in the Scottish Challenge Cup at Firhill.
