Callum McFarlane bagged a brace for Wealdstone as they came from two goals down to claim a 2-2 draw at Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.

After reducing the deficit late in the first half with a poacher’s finish, Callum scored a dramatic 89th minute equaliser, netting a sweet left-footed volley following an aerial scrap in the box.

Speaking after the game, Callum said: “Other than the first 15 minutes, we were the better team, so this was the least we deserved today. I’m just glad I could contribute to an impressive performance from the team.

“Getting two goals is a great feeling, especially in a game like this where we needed the goals and the points. It was a special feeling and I’m going to take it forward into the next game.”

In League Two, Olly Sanderson made it three goals in his last four appearances, but it wasn’t enough to stop Bradford City from falling to a 2-1 defeat at Walsall.

Sanderson’s goal was a smart finish, finishing first time on his left foot as Jamie Walker’s low cross found the 20-year-old in the box.

There were minutes for both Devan Tanton and Harvey Araujo as Chesterfield made the trip to Burslem to face Port Vale, with the Valiants running out 1-0 winners.

Tanton played the full 90 minutes at Vale Park, while Araujo came on as an 83rd minute substitute.

In Scotland, Connor McAvoy and Terry Ablade faced off as Ayr United and Partick Thistle battled out a 1-1 draw in the Scottish Championship.

Ablade was in from the off and played over an hour, while McAvoy was in the Ayr squad for the first time following his Deadline Day move to Scott Brown’s side.

Adrion Pajaziti made his HNK Gorica debut in a 1-0 loss to HNL table-toppers HNK Rijeka, while Imani Lanquedoc earned minutes off the bench in FC Haka’s 3-2 defeat to Ilves in Veikkausliiga.
