Our Under-21s will compete in this season’s National League Cup, a new competition for first teams of National League Clubs and Premier League 2 sides.
The National League Cup is designed to give young players from Premier League and EFL clubs additional opportunities to test themselves against senior opposition, with the aim of further aiding elite player development.
A 32-team competition consisting of 16 PL2 sides and 16 National League clubs, the competition will consist of a group stage (four groups of eight), with the two best-placed teams in each group advancing to a knock-out stage to determine the winner.
Our first four fixtures are as follows:
Tuesday 1st October, 19:30 - Maidenhead United (A)
Tuesday 5th November, 19:00 - Wealdstone (A)
Tuesday 3rd December, 19:00 - Woking (A)
Tuesday 21st January, 19:00 - Aldershot Town (A)
