Bernd Leno thinks Sunday’s meeting with Liverpool is “the best time” for Fulham to provide a response to what has been a difficult week for the team.
After exiting the Emirates FA Cup at the Quarter-Final stage, the Whites were narrowly beaten at second placed Arsenal on Tuesday.
And now up against the only team above the Gunners in the table, Leno feels there’s no better time to make a return to form.

“Of course, a very tough game,” he said. “Liverpool just want to win that game and go over the line and win the league.
“For us, we’re playing at home. Like we do every time, we’ll try to play our game, especially at home, try to dominate, keep the ball, create chances.
“We lost two big games, two important games, and now is the best time to come back.
“A very emotional game, hopefully the atmosphere will be as good as always.”

Our midweek defeat at the Emirates was only the second time this season that we’ve been beaten by a side inside the current top-six, a run which featured an entertaining 2-2 draw at Anfield back in December.
“It was not only against Liverpool,” Leno explained. “At home we drew against Arsenal, we won against Spurs, we won at Old Trafford in the cup, we won away at Chelsea – there’s been a couple of games where we’ve surprised the big teams.
“I think the last couple of games we played against Liverpool were always very tight, always very tough, and hopefully we can make it as hard as possible for them.”
