Over the Easter break, Fulham FC Foundation proudly welcomed a new wave of young leaders through the Premier League Changemakers programme; an initiative designed to inspire and empower the next generation of female changemakers.
Hosted at Fulham FC’s Training Ground, this week-long course brought together 14 girls from across South West London for a series of dynamic workshops, leadership activities, and football training sessions. The Changemakers programme focuses on building self-confidence, encouraging positive leadership, and promoting both mental and physical wellbeing.
Throughout the week, participants engaged with a range of guest speakers, including a spokesperson from the Met Police, Fulham FC Foundation managers, Made in Fulham graduates who have gone on to become coaches at Fulham FC Foundation, and a surprise Q&A with Fulham FC Women’s Georgia Heasman. Each of our guests offered insight into different career pathways and shared their leadership journeys.

In a special collaboration, Fulham FC Foundation also welcomed a cohort from Palace for Life, the charitable arm of Crystal Palace FC. Together, the two groups took part in an Ahead of The Game workshop—an initiative delivered in partnership with Movember. Led by Fulham FC Foundation’s Health & Wellbeing Practitioners, the workshop focused on understanding mental health, spotting early warning signs of depression, and learning how to support others facing challenges.

Each day was capped off with football sessions led by Fulham FC Foundation coaches, helping the girls sharpen their skills in preparation for a friendly match against Barnes Eagles U16s to wrap up the programme.

The impact:
- 90% of participants reported improved skills and knowledge.
- 91% felt inspired to continue developing their leadership abilities.
"It was great to run Changemakers this Easter and host such a fantastic range of guest speakers," said Jack Roberts, Youth Engagement Officer at Fulham FC Foundation. "Our aim is to provide participants with real insights into the working world of football while creating a space to grow, play, and have fun."
