Antonee Robinson is hoping Fulham can change the record when it comes to picking up results against sides towards the bottom end of the Premier League table, ahead of Saturday’s trip to Southampton.
Fulham have won just two of seven games against the Premier League’s current bottom four sides – both of which were victories over Leicester City.

The reverse fixture against the Saints resulted in a frustrating goalless draw at Craven Cottage, where Marco Silva’s side couldn’t force a breakthrough despite 15 attempts on goal.
“This season, we haven’t picked up many points against the teams in the relegation spots,” said Jedi. “We drew twice with Ipswich and drew with Southampton. It’s never easy, it’s always hard to break those teams down. If you catch them on an off day, you’re barrelling in loads of goals, but it’s difficult to get through a team that are bunkering down.
“It’ll be a challenge, for sure, but that’s something we’ll work on in the week and try to make sure we go there with our best plan in mind to get the points.”

Back-to-back defeats has slowed the push for European football, but we remain well in the hunt for a top eight finish. While there’s a feeling among the squad that our position in the table should be higher, Jedi and his teammates are fully focused on ending the season with a run of good results.
“It’s been a pretty positive season for us,” he said. “We’re still within touching distance of a European spot and we’ve had some amazing results along the way. It’s bittersweet because we feel like we could have done a lot better than we have done, but at the same time we’re realistic.
“We’ve brought the club, in only a couple of years, to a position where being ninth feels like a bit of a let-down rather than feeling optimistic, which speaks volumes about the direction the club is going in.
“If different little things went our way, we could be like [Nottingham] Forest, pushing really high up the table, so we have to take positives from the season and look to finish as high as possible.”
