On Saturday 10th May, Fulham FC Foundation will host its highly anticipated Fulham Family Walk, an annual event that brings supporters together ahead of Fulham's Premier League fixture against Everton at Craven Cottage.

The event will be raising vital funds for the Foundation’s DisAbility programmes, which provide essential support to young people and adults with disabilities across South West London. Among the many participants gearing up for the walk this year is a new team, Herts to SW6, who are taking part for the first time.

We caught up with team member Sarah Dolton to learn more about what inspired her family to get involved.

“Our team consists of three generations, grandad Andy Pellant, myself, and my two children, Jack and Imogen,” said Sarah. “My dad and I have been Fulham season ticket holders for over 20 years. We've spent countless matches in the Hammersmith End and more recently moved to the new Riverside Stand. This walk feels like a natural extension of that shared love for the club.”

The Fulham Family Walk

For the Herts to SW6 team, joining the Fulham Family Walk carries an even more personal meaning this year. Sarah’s father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease two-and-a-half years ago. Walking together offers a way to honour their journey and give back to a cause rooted in compassion and community spirit.

"Although the Foundation doesn’t directly support my dad, this walk is symbolic for us," Sarah explained. "It’s a way to celebrate the power of community and resilience - values that Fulham FC has always embodied."

When asked what they are most looking forward to, Sarah laughed: “My kids would definitely say seeing Billy the Badger! But for dad and me, it’s about connecting with others who share the same passion for the club while making a positive impact.”

For Herts to SW6, supporting the Fulham FC Foundation’s DisAbility programmes is crucial. “The cause means a lot to us because it reflects everything we value about being part of the Fulham family - community, inclusion, and making a real difference,” Sarah added.
