Marco Silva believes there is more to come from Ryan Sessegnon, following the 24-year-old’s goal scoring performance at Molineux.
Making the first Premier League start of his second spell at the Club, Sess impressed at left wing-back in the Wolves win, opening the scoring after just 58 seconds with the sort of composed finish we have seen many times from him in our shirt.
“First, he’s a lovely boy,” Silva said in his post-match press conference. “The last two, three years were really tough for him.

“A player that started at 16-years-old at a high level. I think all of us that are here, and everybody who loves football in this country, recognised in that moment that he’s going to have an amazing career, because he was a top talent at a top club.
“But sometimes football is not always like that – he had a lot of injuries in a row which took confidence from him, but the most important thing is that it took the sharpness from him that he needs to be at this level.

“We took a decision to bring him back to our football club, and we had a plan for him that the first six, seven, eight months, and until the end of the season, are going to be crucial for him. Keep him as healthy as we can – he’s making a big effort, he’s working hard.
“It was his first Premier League start, but in both cups he’s been starting the games, and performance-wise he’s been very good. It’s just up to us this season to keep him in a good physical condition, because the quality is there.
“He needs to get the confidence again, the rhythm again, the intensity that the Premier League demands. He’s already a very good tool for us, and in the future he’s going to be a top tool for Fulham Football Club.”
