To celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, we are proud to launch our EmpowHer Festival of Football!
Running from Monday 3rd March to Wednesday 31st March, Fulham FC Foundation has planned a wide range of activities and events for female young people and adults. These include open evenings, festivals, tournaments, guest speakers, workshops, match days and more.

Event highlights
The festival kicks off with two Primary School Girls’ Festivals on Monday 3rd March and Tuesday 11th March for local schools in Kingston, Wandsworth, Merton, Hammersmith and Fulham. The Girls’ Disability-Inclusive Schools League will then take place at Fulham FC Training Ground on Tuesday 10th March.
On Saturday 8th March, we will host a Women and Girls’ Disability Festival for participants aged five and above, featuring activities, matches and tournaments. This event welcomes individuals with any physical, learning, or sensory disability or special educational need.
On Sunday 9th March, the EmpowHer Women and Girls’ Festival will take place for participants aged eight to 16 years, followed by a Women’s Walking Football Tournament on Sunday 23rd March - both at Fulham FC Training Ground.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we will hold themed sessions at our Skills Clubs across South West London on Saturday 8th March. That same day, Craven Cottage will offer an exclusive International Women’s Day-themed Stadium Tour, featuring current Fulham FC Women’s Players.
Workshops & special events
Throughout March, we will host workshops and guest speaker events at secondary schools across our network. Our Premier League Inspires Girls cohort at Raynes Park High School, Coombe Girls School, Hollyfield School, Dunraven School, and Ark Globe will engage in team-building activities and create a collage of supportive messages to inspire others. They will also take part in a Q&A session with guest speakers.
Additionally, we will run International Women’s Day-themed Fulham Memories sessions, reflecting on the theme: 'What would you say to your younger self or to young girls today?'

A special matchday experience
On Sunday 23rd March, our EmpowHer project, in collaboration with the Premier League Fans Fund, will give participants the opportunity to be mascots and flag bearers at the Fulham FC Women’s fixture against Ebbsfleet United. Kick-off is at 2:30 PM - come down and support the team!

A word from our team
Sam Hadley, Female Football Development Manager at Fulham FC Foundation, shared: "It’s fantastic to see so many initiatives that allow women and girls in our local community to come together and participate in activities and events throughout March to celebrate International Women’s Day. We are also excited to collaborate with Fulham FC and the Premier League Fans Fund to host activities at Fulham FC Training Ground while supporting Fulham FC Women’s First Team for their home league fixture. We hope these events empower and inspire women and girls to continue engaging with us in the future."
