Antonee Robinson has been voted U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year for 2024.
A standout year for both club and country has seen Jedi become the first defender to win the award since 2006.
He saw off competition from four-time winner Christian Pulisic, Folarin Balogun and Tim Ream to win the vote with 55% of the weighted total. In addition to fan voting, votes for U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year were collected from National Team coaches, players who earned a cap in 2024, members of the Soccer Board of Directors, U.S. Soccer Athletes’ Council, professional league head coaches and sporting directors, select media members and former players and administrators.

He was nominated for the award in 2022 but was beaten to the accolade by Tyler Adams. 27 players have won the award in total since it was introduced in 1984, with Jedi the first defensive player to win it since Oguchi Onyewu 18 years ago.
Jedi, who was told the news by two-time winner and former Everton team-mate Tom Howard on a Zoom call, said: “It’s an incredible honour. Representing our country isn’t something you do for individual accolades. It’s always about putting the team first and trying to do my best for the boys and for the country, so to be rewarded for that is an amazing feeling.”
Congratulations, Jedi!
