Timothy Castagne is focusing on the task at hand as Fulham look ahead to the second half of the season.

The Whites had been on a nine-match unbeaten run until defeat at West Ham, but Timo’s hoping Saturday’s trip to Leicester can kickstart some consistency.

“I think our problem is the consistency,” the Belgian said. “We have to get the results week-in-week-out.

“We shot ourselves in the foot (at West Ham) because it’s always difficult to win a game if you have to come back after three goals, but we want to play our way and some mistakes are going to happen.

“We want to show what we can do, not just play long ball and counter-attacks. We want to play and we want to dominate.”

Six defeats in a row have left the Foxes languishing in the relegation zone, but our full-back explained why there’ll be no complacency against his former employers.

“I think we’ve struggled a little bit with teams that stay deep and it’s tougher to break them down. But it’s good because we have to work on it and you can work on it if you play against these types of things.

“They have good players, a new coach so a lot of energy, and they’re playing at home where I know it’s always a nice atmosphere. It’s not going to be easy.

“(I know) a few lads, obviously Wout (Faes) from Belgium, JJ (James Justin), Hamza Choudhury. I know a lot of the guys there so it will be nice to see them again, but I just want to go there and dominate and win.”

With Fulham currently occupying ninth place in the table, they’re finely poised to target the upper echelons.

“We want to try and get in the Europe positions. We’ve made some mistakes that cost us points and I think with those points, we would be up there.

“We’re going to try to do the same as the first half of the season, but maybe be more consistent. Of course, it’s not going to be easy.

“I didn't play the first part of the season so it was a bit tough for me, but now I'm back in and just trying to grab the moment and try to show what I can do.

“(Marco Silva) pushes us very hard and I think that’s why we’ve been able to climb and play for the higher positions.

“To get Europe and get a different type of competition for the fans would be amazing.”
