Qualification to the knockout stages of the National League Cup is still on for Fulham Under-21s, who travel to Aldershot Town on Tuesday evening (7pm kick-off) in their final group game of the competition.
State of play
Five clubs from the eight-team group can still mathematically qualify for the Quarter-Finals, but only two can go through. In order to qualify for the knockouts, our Young Whites will have to beat Aldershot and hope that one of Wealdstone or Maidenhead drop points when they face Brighton U21s and Southampton U21s respectively.

Hayden Mullins’ side have competed well in the National League Cup during its debut year. Of the 16 youth teams participating in the competition, only Manchester United (nine) and Leeds United (eight) have accumulated more points than Fulham.
While our journey began with a disappointing defeat at group table-toppers Maidenhead United, our youngsters have responded brilliantly with a 2-0 victory at Wealdstone and a thrilling 3-2 comeback win at Woking.
The opposition
Aldershot are currently in pole position to claim the final qualification spot, although the margins are narrow, with only goal difference separating them from Wealdstone, Woking and our Young Whites.

The Shots come into this tie off the back of six games unbeaten in all competitions – their longest undefeated streak during this campaign. That’s included an 8-0 thrashing of Chertsey Town in the FA Trophy and an impressive 3-1 victory at National League promotion hopefuls Oldham Athletic last time out.
