Raúl Jiménez scored the only goal of the game as Mexico booked their place in the Gold Cup Final with victory over Honduras on Wednesday.

Honduras actually started well and had the better of the opening half hour, but the nine-time winners took control thereafter, opening the scoring early in the second half with a first time finish from Raúl across the goalkeeper.

West Ham’s Edson Alvarez thought he’d doubled the lead moments later, but VAR spotted an offside in the build-up.

Raúl was substituted in stoppage time, and was named Player of the Match.

Mexico will face the United States in the Gold Cup Final in Houston on Sunday.
