In June, Craven Cottage played host to Fulham FC Foundation’s Community Weekend, a powerful celebration of inclusion, activity, and opportunity. Across two days, more than 400 participants took to the pitch in four standout events bringing together people from across the Foundation’s wide-ranging programmes.

The weekend kicked off with the Health & Wellbeing Walking Football Festival, welcoming 70+ players from across South-West London for a day of friendly matches, connection, and celebration of staying active at any age.

Saturday afternoon saw the pitch taken over by girls for the EmpowHer Festival an inspiring showcase of confidence-building football, skill sessions, and fun, aimed at boosting female participation in the sport.

Foundation Community Day
Sunday welcomed participants from Soccer Schools, Skills Club, Pan DisAbility, and the Girls Development Centre for a memorable morning of fun football training sessions and matches before family members got to join their child on the iconic pitch to take in the scenery.

Paul Smithers Kicks Cup
The weekend wrapped up with the Paul Smithers Kicks Cup, a tournament honouring the legacy of a much-loved Youth and Community Manager. The event brought together young people from Premier League Kicks and celebrated values of teamwork, leadership, and dedication. This year’s Paul Smithers Award was proudly won by Shai Ivey.
