Last month, two Fulham FC Foundation partnered schools proudly represented Fulham FC at the Premier League Primary Stars National Tournament, competing alongside 19 other Premier League clubs. Hosted at Wolves’ iconic Molineux Stadium, the event brought together primary school teams from across the country following regional qualifiers held throughout the season.

Securing their place

Following two regional tournaments held at Motspur Park by Fulham FC Foundation, Latchmere Primary School earned their place at the National Finals by winning the Mixed Regional Tournament, while Heathfield Junior School claimed victory in the Girls-Only competition.

Taking on the National Finals

Both schools demonstrated outstanding teamwork and determination on the day.

Heathfield Junior School’s girls team performed brilliantly, with victories over Nottingham Forest and Ipswich. After drawing with Chelsea, their run came to an end in a closely contested Semi-Final match against Everton.

“This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our girls – a perfect send-off after four years of training and competing together. Opportunities like this create lasting memories and shape our students into confident, proud young athletes.

"With over half our squad from disadvantaged backgrounds, the impact of this trip is profound. We're incredibly grateful for the care, professionalism, and dedication shown by the Fulham FC Foundation team. Partnerships like this mean everything to our school and community.” — Jake Nuthall, Heathfield Junior School

Latchmere Primary remained unbeaten in their group matches, collecting wins over Chelsea and Ipswich. However, despite their strong form, close draws against Nottingham Forest and eventual Finalists Everton meant they narrowly missed out on progressing due to goal difference.

Both teams left Molineux with their heads held high, having represented Fulham with an immense amount of pride and passion.

Jordan Thorpe, Primary Education Officer for Fulham FC Foundation had this to say about the two teams:

“Both teams represented Fulham impeccably with their effort, commitment, and sportsmanship — truly embodying the Premier League values: Be Connected, Be Inspiring, Be Fair, Be Ambitious.

"The day was made even more special with a team photo alongside the Premier League trophy in the first team changing rooms.”
