Harry Wilson continued his fine form for Wales under Craig Bellamy with another goal in Wales’ 3-0 victory over Liechtenstein on Friday night.

After Joe Rodon had nodded in his first goal for his country, Wilson doubled the lead with a header of his own, expertly glancing home an inviting delivery from Jay Dasilva.

That moved Wilson onto 13 goals for Wales, putting him above Ryan Giggs and level with John Toshack in the record books.

Kieffer Moore added a third moments later to wrap up a routine victory in Cardiff, and cement Wales’ spot at the top of their World Cup qualifying group, ahead of their toughest test in Belgium on Monday.

It was an equally terrific night for Sander Berge, who played a phenomenal game in Norway’s 3-0 win over Italy.

Goals from Alexander Sørloth, Antonio Nusa and Erling Haaland had the hosts in complete control at half-time in Oslo, and Berge almost added a stunning fourth in the second half, only to see his first time strike from range crash back off the far post.

The result keeps Norway top of Group I having taken maximum points from their opening three matches.

Over in the World Cup qualifiers in South America on Thursday, Andreas Pereira came on in stoppage time of Carlo Ancelotti’s first match as Brazil manager, but did not have the time to help his side improve on their goalless draw with Ecuador.
