Recently, Fulham FC Foundation’s Primary Education team hosted a special event at Craven Cottage, welcoming Premier League Primary Stars and PPA partner schools from across South-West London for a memorable day of football.

This invitation-only event was a Premier League Primary Stars Female Football Festival designed to give girls aged 7-11 the opportunity to engage with the sport in a memorable, fun and supportive environment.

Over 100 girls had the opportunity to enjoy a carousel of activities, including passing, dribbling, shooting, and even an introduction to the fundamentals of goalkeeping. The event focused on building confidence, encouraging participation, and showcasing the many ways girls can get involved in football.

“We regularly host school visits and community events at Craven Cottage, and one of the most common questions we receive from the children is, ‘Can we go on the pitch?’ Until now, the answer had always been no. So, it was a truly special moment personally to finally be able to say yes and give them an experience they will remember for a lifetime.

"This inspiring event is more than just a day at the stadium, it’s a celebration of the relationships we’ve built with our partner schools and a heartfelt thank you to the school staff, pupils and wider community we work alongside throughout the year. Moments like this are what make our outreach so meaningful, and I’m proud we were able to share such a powerful day with them." – Kayleigh Bowers, Primary Education Manager, Fulham FC Foundation
