To celebrate International Women’s Day and Beyond, Fulham Football Club is proud to announce an exciting collaboration with Girlz Are Playaz Too, the female empowerment initiative founded by Priscilla Anyabu, to inspire and support women and girls in football.

As part of this initiative, 30 women and young girls had the unforgettable experience of attending their first-ever live football match at Craven Cottage for Fulham's designated International Women’s Day fixture. The special matchday event formed part of the Club’s wider efforts to promote inclusivity in the sport and encourage more women to engage with football, whether as players, fans, or industry professionals.

The partnership between Fulham and Girlz Are Playaz Too goes beyond matchday experiences. Together, they will deliver a series of initiatives designed to break down barriers for women and girls in football. This includes mentorship programmes, training sessions, and community workshops aimed at creating more opportunities both on and off the pitch.

Priscilla Anyabu, founder of Girlz Are Playaz Too, said: “Football should be accessible to everyone, and this collaboration with Fulham FC is a step towards making that a reality for more women and young girls. Seeing so many experience their first-ever live football match at Craven Cottage was incredible, and we hope it’s just the start of their journey in the sport.”

Jamie Dapaah, Fulham FC’s Inclusion Manager, added: “At Fulham FC, we are committed to making football a sport where everyone feels welcome. Partnering with Girlz Are Playaz Too aligns perfectly with our mission to remove barriers for women and girls, and we’re proud to provide opportunities that encourage greater participation in the game.”

This collaboration aligns with International Women’s Day 2025’s theme of ‘Inspire Inclusion’, reinforcing the importance of representation and accessibility for women in sport.
