Fulham Under-18s return to action on Saturday afternoon as Leicester City visit Motspur Park, 12pm kick-off.

The reverse fixture certainly wasn’t short on drama in a tightly contested affair at Seagrave. Logan Cooke scored a winning goal with the last kick of the game, as our unbeaten run stretched to seven games.

Recent form

Ali Melloul’s side put in a much-improved performance at West Ham United in their final game before the international break, halting a run of three straight defeats.

It’s been a tricky period for our Young Whites, who have fallen slightly off the pace at the top of the U18s Premier League, winning three of eight matches during 2025.

But the energetic, high-pressing performance in that entertaining 2-2 draw at West Ham was more reflective of the team that was challenging towards the top of the division earlier in the season.

Tom Wingate’s first-half penalty was sandwiched between two Josh Landers strikes, before Canada youth international Aidan Evans earned our Young Whites a deserved point with an audacious lob 14 minutes from time.

Brodie Dair, a mid-season acquisition from St Johnstone, is still awaiting his first Fulham goal, despite going agonisingly close on several occasions, but will be full of confidence after scoring his first ever international goal in midweek, converting from the penalty spot in Scotland U17s’ 8-0 win over Liechtenstein.

With seven games across the next 35 days, Melloul’s side will be looking to put the recent blip behind them and finish the campaign in style.

The opposition

No side in the division has had more goals in their games than Leicester City; an incredible 94 in 19 matches.

Their last three games have all finished 4-3, two of which have been victories, with Lorenz Hutchinson scoring in stoppage-time in those wins over Brighton and Norwich, while Adam Barradell’s side were on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller at Arsenal last time out. Each of their six league wins this season has had at least six goals go in.

With eight goals and two assists across his last seven appearances, Hutchinson is Leicester’s in-form attacking player, scoring or assisting in each of his last three matches.
