Fulham Under-21s travel to Southampton on Monday evening in the Quarter-Finals of the PL2 Play-Offs, 7pm kick-off.

Both sides needed extra-time to book their spot in the last eight, with Hayden Mullins’ men beating Nottingham Forest 1-0, while Southampton defeated Leicester City 5-3 in a thriller at St Mary’s.

The winner of this Quarter-Final clash will face Crystal Palace away next weekend.

The opposition

The Saints finished seventh in the PL2 standings, while they also reached the Semi-Finals of the Premier League Cup.

That cup journey came to an end last week with a 2-0 defeat at home to Brentford, but their form in 2025 has been impressive. Since the turn of the year, Calum McFarlane’s side have won seven of their 11 PL2 matches, a run which started with a 5-0 victory over our Young Whites in January.

Amissah: Always believe

Centre-back Samuel Amissah was on media duties ahead of the trip to the South Coast.

“We always believed that we’d score [against Forest],’ he said. “Going to extra-time, we still had that belief, kept going and ended up getting the goal.

“The boys like this type of tournament football because it puts more pressure on us to perform.

“Having to factor that our season will be over if we don’t win these games, that puts a bit more pressure on us. The more pressure that we put on ourselves, the better I think we perform.

“They’re a very good team. A tough team, hard to break down. They got the better of us last time, so this game is kind of like redemption.”
